Tannia Rodriguez

After completing her Bachelor's of Business at UT Austin with a Management Information Systems degree, Tannia kick-started her IT career at SolarWinds as an R&D IT Analyst. Fast forward three years and now she is a Systems Engineer on the Systems Dev team. Her first career experiences in the tech space were all internships during college. She started as a Contract Analyst Intern at a software company in the education industry reviewing contracts and work on a database consolidation project. Then switched to a Marketing Data Analyst Intern position for a tech startup in the healthcare industry where she created reports analyzing lead data from a CRM system. She also switched roles to a Software Developer Intern at the same startup to build a custom onboarding application. These internships helped her test the waters in the tech space and exposed her to underlying IT systems different companies relied upon. She didn't know it at the time but starting her IT career at SolarWinds has proved to be the best fit by far. With no IT experience she started from the ground up and learned a lot in a short amount of time. She works on anything from managing datacenter operations to deploying environments for Engineering teams and recently started focusing on expanding her cloud computing knowledge.
